Dija Lanier and Leon Wardlaw

Mrs. Verna Lanier of Statesboro, Ga., is pleased to announce the upcoming wedding of her daughter, Dija Lanier, to Leon Wardlaw, son of the late David Wardlaw and the late Emma Lee Wardlaw of Miami, Fla.

The bride-elect is also the daughter of the late Melvin Lanier. She is the granddaughter of the late Melvin Lanier Sr. and the late Elizabeth Lanier, and the late John Littles and the late Ida Mae Littles, all of Statesboro. Dija graduated from Statesboro High School in 2001. She is currently employed as general and district manager with Checkers Inc. in Statesboro.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mrs. Ella Mae Floyd of Miami. Leon graduated from Miami Springs High School in Miami in 1992. In addition, he graduated from Ogeechee Technical College with a certification in truck driving in 2005. He is currently self-employed as the owner and operator of L&D Trucking Company LLC in Statesboro.

Dija and Leon will marry on Saturday, September 24, 2016, at 5 p.m. at Hodges Grove Baptist Church, located at 841 Miller Street Extension in Statesboro, with the Rev. John Harmon officiating.
