Ansley Leigh Johnson and Carson Hugh Smith

Mr. and Mrs. Abb Dan Johnson Jr. of Twin City are proud to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Ansley Leigh Johnson, to Carson Hugh Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Edwin Smith Jr. of Vidalia.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Ann Farrar of Swainsboro and the late Edward Sconyers. Paternal grandparents are Leone Johnson of Twin City and the late Abb and Belva Johnson. Miss Johnson is a 2006 honor graduate of Emanuel County Institute. She earned a bachelor's degree in biology from Georgia Southern University in 2010. She is currently enrolled in South University's Anesthesiologist Assistant Program in Savannah. She will graduate in September of 2015 with a master's of medical science in anesthesia and will be employed with Lighthouse Anesthesia.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late George Clarence Smith Jr. of Mount Vernon and the late Carol Pope Gray of Pasadena, Texas. Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Frank Smith Sr. of Vidalia. Mr. Smith is a 2005 graduate of Robert Toombs Christian Academy in Lyons. He attended Georgia Southern University and graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance. He is employed with Vidalia Pediatric Center and Tots to Teens Medical Center as the director of financial services.

The couple will exchange vows on March 28, 2015, at 6 p.m. at Beaver Creek Plantation in Twin City, with the reception to be held immediately following the ceremony.
