Gina Lynn Gibson and Jeffrey Howard Richardson were united in marriage on Saturday, December 8, 2012, at 6:00 in the evening. The Reverend Michael Huling officiated the double-ring ceremony at Pittman Park United Methodist Church in Statesboro.
    Music was provided by Devita Parnell, organist, cousin of the bride; and Mark Murphree, pianist and soloist. Violinists Catherine McKee and Steve Gay were accompanied by Sheila McKee on the piano. Drew Ziemba was trumpeter for the bridal procession.
    The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Charles Gibson of Statesboro. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Geneva Johnson Bussell and the late Mr. George Dennis Bussell of Tennille, Ga., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Charles Gibson of Folkston, Ga.
    The groom is the son of Mrs. Carol Howard Ruffo of Statesboro and Mr. Kelly Wade Richardson of Newnan, Ga. He is the grandson of Mrs. Jean Foss Howard and the late Mr. Jerry Wilson Howard of Statesboro and Mrs. LuAnn Richardson and the late Mr. Jack Donald Richardson of Thomasville, Ga.
    Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a white A-line side-draped strapless gown of Chantilly lace with beaded detail in the bodice and skirt. She wore a cathedral-length veil of tulle that was adorned with lace appliqué. The bride carried a bouquet of white and pink roses tied with lace from her mother’s wedding veil and adorned with the wedding broach and the wedding ring belonging to each of her grandmothers.
     Rachel Stubbs Staffins of Thomson, Ga., served as the matron of honor, and Casey McKenzie Wright of Atlanta, Ga., was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Christina Lynne Akins of Statesboro, Hayley Laura Athan of Statesboro, Ashley Nicole Farina of Savannah, Ga., Brooke Davis Gifford of Atlanta, Keri Fleming Kanitz of Atlanta, Kendra Phillips Smith of Savannah, Whitney Skeeters Mooney of Macon, Ga., and Polly Kay Smith of Metter, Ga.  Mary Banks Garvin of Statesboro was the flower girl, and cousin of the bride Julia Kathryn Parnell of Lilburn, Ga., served as the bride’s bouquet holder.
    The bridesmaids wore formal-length black halter peau de soie ruffle-neck dresses with a flat bow detail at the natural waists and carried bouquets of baby's breath. The flower girl wore a black organza tea-length dress, while the bride’s bouquet holder wore a white organza tea-length dress.
    Kelly Wade Richardson served as his son’s best man along with the brother of the groom, Tyler Stewart Richardson of Savannah.  Groomsmen were Charles Stephen Gibson of Atlanta, brother of the bride; Charles Harrison Akins of Statesboro, Stephen Carter Collins of Statesboro, Joseph Michael Hall Jr. of Statesboro, Thomas Colby Hook of Statesboro, Yancey Collin Mooney of Macon, Jonathon Lloyd Smith of Savannah and Benjamin Baxter Watkins IV of St. Simons, Ga.
    Ushers for the ceremony were Mark Phillip Mashburn of Statesboro, Simon Mikell Peed of Statesboro, Cody McKinnon Pruitt of Statesboro, Shaun David Sikes of Statesboro, Ralph Calvin Staffins III of Thomson, Mathew Keith Whitt of Concord, N.C., and Daniel Seckinger Woodrum of Athens, Ga. Griffin Walter Garvin of Statesboro was the ring bearer, and cousin of the bride Tyler James Parnell of Lilburn was the acolyte.
    The bride’s attendants were Heather Harralson Mashburn of Statesboro and Haley Joy Pope of Waycross, Ga. Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Lovett Lanier of Statesboro and Mr. and Mrs. Derick Jason Sharpe of Statesboro served as greeters.
    Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at the Belle House. Guests enjoyed the buffet and dessert bar, planned and designed by the bride and prepared by the catering services of Georgia Southern University. The floral design was under the direction of Brush and Bramble of Metter.
    Guests enjoyed a night of dancing with music provided by band 17 South of Charleston, S.C.
    Following their honeymoon to St. Lucia, the couple has made their home on Wilmington Island, Ga.
