Vera Sharon "Sharri" Edenfield and William Franklin "Bill" Lindsey

Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Malcolm Edenfield of Statesboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Vera Sharon "Sharri" Edenfield of Statesboro, to William Franklin "Bill" Lindsey of Metter, son of Mrs. Annette Overstreet Lindsey and the late Mr. Bobby Franklin Lindsey of Swainsboro.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Perry and Vera Edenfield and the late Daniel and Alice Carter, all of Stilson. An honor graduate of Statesboro High School, Sharri graduated with an AB in political science from the University of Georgia in Athens, where she served as chapter president of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority. Sharri graduated with a JD and certificate in advanced legal writing and research from Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law in Macon and is a partner with the law firm of Edenfield, Cox, Bruce & Classens in Statesboro.

The groom is the grandson of the late Grady and Myrtice Lindsey and the late Elijah and Emma Lee Overstreet, all of Swainsboro. A graduate of Swainsboro High School, Bill graduated with a BA in political science and a master's in public administration from Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville. Bill is employed by the Candler County Board of Commissioners as the Candler County administrator.

The couple plans to marry on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at 5 p.m. at Old Fellowship Baptist Church in Stilson, Ga., followed by a reception at the bride's family's farm, Meldrim Woods, in Stilson.

All family and friends are invited to attend.
