Mr. and Mrs. John Robert Cason

    Laura Jean Diepenbrock and John Robert Cason were united in marriage on Saturday, January 1, 2011, at half past six in the evening in Frost Chapel at Berry College in Rome, Ga. Jeremy Marshall, a friend of the couple, officiated. A reception following the ceremony was held at Forrest Place Ballrooms.
    The bride is the daughter of Ms. Amy Elizabeth Diepenbrock of Wilmington, N.C., and Mr. James Alan Diepenbrock of Wilmington, N.C. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Jean Snook Diepenbrock and the late Mr. Joseph Boettcher Diepenbrock of Raleigh, N.C., and late Mr. and Mrs. William B. Palacio of Virginia Beach, Va.
    The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Joseph Cason of Statesboro, Ga. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dorris Cason of Statesboro and the late Mr. and Mrs. Verbi Lee Mitchell of Bulloch County.
    The bride was escorted by her father. Grace Ann Diepenbrock and Margaret Jo Diepenbrock, sisters of the bride, both of Wilmington, N.C., served as the maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Christine Helen Diepenbrock of St. Louis, Mo., cousin of the bride; Jenevieve Marie Solomon, Laura Deanna Davis and Thushyanthi Muruges, all of Rome, Ga.
    The best man was Stephen Thomas Watkins of Columbus, Ohio. Groomsmen were Mitchell Malone Cason of Portal, Ga., brother of the groom; Jeffrey Mark Diepenbrock of Blacksburg, Va., brother of the bride; Diego Gallon of Cleveland, Ga., Kevin Chase Davis of Rome, Ga., and Joel Ledbetter of Orlando, Fla. Robert Joseph Cason, father of the groom, was also a groomsman.
    Music was provided by Kyler Post, pianist; with Christine Diepenbrock, cousin of the bride, on cello. Candles were lit by the nephews of the groom, Mitchell Malone Cason Jr. and Hudson Roberts Cason. Grace Hannah Cason, niece of the groom, was the junior bridesmaid.
    The bride is a graduate of Berry College in Rome, Ga., with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. The groom also graduated from Berry with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Marketing.
    The couple was honored with a rehearsal dinner hosted by the groom's parents at Forrest Place Ballrooms.
    A bridal tea was hosted by the mother of the bride on the day before the wedding at the Victorian Rose Tearoom and Café.
    After a honeymoon to the Blue Ridge Mountains, the couple resides in Statesboro.
