Southern Adventures held a climbing clinic at Georgia Southern University's Recreation Activities Center Thursday evening. Those in attandance learned the basics of top rope climbing.
Attendees also had the opportunity to become certified as belayers, which allows them to spot for other climbers without assistance from clinic staff.
These free programs are designed to give GSU students the chance to participate on a high challenge course, and several are offered during the semester.
Courses with Southern Adventures also offer on- and off-campus organizations the opportunity to develop leadership skills in a fun and challenging environment.
In addition to custom course offerings, there is a monthly high ropes challenge, open to all GSU students.
