Lynda Hamilton

Lynda Hamilton's service to others covers many years, and has touched many individuals. One friend suggests that Lynda was taught to serve others by her mother, whose guiding principle was "it needs doing and you can do it." Lynda's local service includes serving three years as president of Altrusa, during which she worked to start a Mother's Day project for Safe Haven children, the local shelter for victims of domestic violence and their families. When Lynda closed her gift shop, she contributed her inventory and furniture to Safe Haven, enough to supply the core offerings for Safe Haven's first silent auction fundraiser. Lynda is generous with her time and opening her home for fundraising auctions and dinners. She is also deeply involved with the Botanical Gardens, community music activities and much, much more.
