The Bulloch Academy Gator softball team has already surpassed last year’s total number of wins. One of the players coach Jason Godbee has been counting on this year is sophomore pitcher Press Pope.

"Press Pope has been our starting pitcher all season long and has pitched at times for the team three games in a row to help us and her teammates continue to find success,” Godbee said. “She continues to improve and she is one of the reasons why we are currently 4-5 overall after going 1-19 last year.”

“I want the ball and to be on the mound even if I’m tired,” Pope said. “I hate to come out of the game but I will do anything asked of me to help the team win. I love to compete and try and be a team player. I think we are doing much better than last year and I hope we can continue to improve.”
