AMERICUS – Big plays helped Southland Academy run away with a 37-7 victory over Bulloch Academy in a key GISA Region 1-AAA battle here Friday night. The Raiders had scoring runs of 76, 52 and 52 yards and a 65-yard pass play for a touchdown as their size and depth prevailed against the smaller, banged-up Gators. Southland (7-3 overall and 3-1 in region play) held Bulloch to just 83 yards on the ground at soggy Harvey Simpson Stadium.
