Tammy Faye (Kersey) Lenn, age 67, passed away peacefully following a courageous, prolonged battle with lung cancer.

A truly unique individual, Tammy Faye lived life entirely on her own terms. Known for her vibrant spirit, strong character and sharp humor, she was remarkably independent and never hesitated to speak her mind.

Above all else, Tammy cherished her family. While she found great joy in music, grilling and spending time by the water, her heart belonged to her loved ones — especially her grandchildren — with whom she shared unforgettable memories.

She is survived by her mother, Alice Kersey; her sister, Glenda Oliver; and brother, Darren Kersey; her daughters, Danielle (Boeje) Bunger and her husband, Michael; Kristina (Boeje) Yancey; her grandchildren, Samantha (Yancey) Thigpen and her husband, Jaylen; John Yancey II, Ryan Yancey, Sophia Bunger, William Bunger; and extended family including many cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and devoted friends.

Tammy was preceded in death by her father, Edward Kersey; her sister, Donna Kersey; her brother, Edward Kersey Jr.; and her son-in-law, John Yancey.

Tammy Faye leaves behind a lasting legacy of strength and laughter. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all whose lives she touched.

In accordance with her wishes, the family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro, Georgia, in deep appreciation for their compassionate care and support.
