The Statesboro Flag football team started the season with a couple of tough losses but won their last game and are 2-6 this season. Coach Karry Parker knows there are still quite a few games to play this year and is counting on players like Jojo Durrance to help turn things around.

“Jojo is a versatile player who plays linebacker, cornerback and wide receiver for us,” Parker said. “She is very positive and hard-working. She is always smiling while she’s playing. She leads by example by always running hard and being accountable when she makes a mistake.

“I feel like my role on the team is to try and motivate my teammates to have fun and work hard,” Durrance said. "I feel like the strengths of the team are that first we are very close. We also have a lot of fun together and feel like a family.”
