Mrs. Lou Ella Cope
BROOKLET, Ga. -- Mrs. Lou Ella Cope, age 58, passed into rest Monday, January 29, 2019, at the Candler Hospital, Savannah, Georgia.
    The Bulloch County native was the daughter of the late Abram and Emma Lou Davis Cone. She attended the Bulloch County School System and was a graduate of the Southeast Bulloch High School class of 1978.
    She was employed with Ruby Tuesday’s of Statesboro for 18 years, where she worked as the kitchen manager.
    She was a dedicated member of the United Fellowship Worship Center.
    She is preceded by a daughter, Sierra Cope; sisters, Barbra Johnson, Pauline Mobley and Gloria Johnson.
    She leaves fond memories to be cherished by her husband of 41 years, Ronnie Lee Cope, Brooklet, Ga.; a son, Ronnie Oneal Cope, Brooklet, Ga.; two granddaughters, Carlie Berman and Leanna Husley; loving sisters, Charlotte Lovett, Savannah, Ga.; Linda Faye Cone, Brooklet, Ga.; Patricia (Ralph) Cone, Ruby Hill (Fred), Janelle (Willie) Raymond, all of Statesboro, Ga.; loving brothers, Roosevelt (Janice) Cone, Harry Cone, Abram Cone and Gary (Tina) Cone, all of Brooklet, Ga.; Larry (Virginia) Cone, Statesboro, Ga.; and Charles Cone, Macon, Ga.; sisters-in-law, Patricia Taylor and Shirley (Emmit) Porter, both of Brooklet, Ga.; Joanie Cope and Carolyn Bethea, both of Statesboro, Ga.; brothers-in-law, Herman (Jessie) Lemons, Brooklet, Ga.; and Homer Lemons, Sarasota Fla.; a very special nephew, Jamie Cone, Brooklet, Ga.; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    Family visitation will be held Friday evening, February 1, 2019, 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the chapel of Hill's Mortuary, Inc.
    The funeral service for Mrs. Cope will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, February 2, 2019, at the Agape Worship Center, 810 Grady Street Extension, Statesboro, GA, with Elder Donald Chavers Jr., pastor, presiding, and the Rev. Brock Taylor, eulogist. Burial will be in the Bulloch Memorial Gardens.
    Final rites have been entrusted to Hill's Mortuary, Inc.
