A motorcyclist entered the intersection and collided with the truck causing the driver of the motorcycle to be ejected. Identified by the Bulloch Coroner’s Office, 53-year-old Angela Snider of Statesboro was killed at the scene.
The State Patrol report listed that charges are pending for the driver of the truck.
A little less than two hours later, at 8:20 a.m., a Georgia State Patrol trooper reported a crash involving two cars and a motorcycle resulted in the death of the motorcyclist, identified as 64-year-old Jeffrey Kearse of Statesboro by the coroner’s office.
According to the report, a Hyundai Sonata was making a left turn off Highway 80 East onto Amanda Road, just east of the Statesboro city limits. A Ford Focus rear-ended the Sonata, pushing the car into the path of a motorcyclist heading west on Highway 80, who hit the Sonata and was ejected, according to the report.
Kearse was killed at the scene and the driver of the Ford was taken to East Georgia Regional Medical Center with undetermined injuries.
