Statesboro Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of an infant inside a home on South College Street in Statesboro.
Several police cars, a coroner's car and crime scene tape were observed outside the large wooden house at 218 S. College St. around 12:30 p.m. Thursday.
"We are in the very preliminary stages in an investigation into the death of an infant," said Statesboro Police Capt. Charles Forney, at the scene. "That's about all we've got right now."
