Schools to hold moment of silence one month after Parkland shooting
Will work with students, but do not endorse National Walkout
W 031318 SCHOOL SAFETY MEETING 01
Bulloch County Schools Superintendent Charles Wilson, right, hosts a community forum to take questions about school safety at Southeast Bulloch High School on Tuesday in light of national and local incidents.
Bulloch County Schools will hold a moment of silence today, Wednesday, March 14, one month after the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. The schools are also prepared in some way to work with students who want to express themselves in student-led gatherings. But Bulloch school officials have not endorsed the National School Walkout and did not release details of how they will accommodate students. A message the school system emailed to parents Sunday noted that the schools were closed Monday and Tuesday for regularly scheduled planning and training days.
