With five candidates – and no incumbent – the Bulloch County Probate Court judge race is the local contest in Tuesday’s election where a runoff is the most likely. As with other races involving three or more candidates, if none emerges from Tuesday night’s count with more than 50 percent of the votes, the two top vote-getters will go into a runoff to be decided July 26. Probate Judge Lee DeLoach’s decision to retire this coming December after 30 years in office presaged this battle.
