Statesboro Police detectives are investigating a “strong-arm” rape they said occurred between 9:30 p.m. Friday and 8:30 a.m. Saturday, according to police incident reports.
The rape took place at a Stadium Walk apartments location, and the offender was known to the victim, said Statesboro Police Capt. Scott Brunson.
Det. Tommy Brown responded Sunday to East Georgia Regional Medical Center, where the victim had gone for treatment, and spoke with her, reports stated. The case remains under investigation.
