The Coastal Empire's Magic Marc will perform a live action magic show today while filming at Splash in the Boro family water park in Statesboro. And he will offer other entertainment from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Marc Dunston – Magic Mark – will begin taping his weekly show at 11:30 a.m. and will include magic and illusions, live animals and plenty of audience participation. Magic Marc's shows feature his own brand of performance he has dubbed 'Magication.' Magication is education through magic for children of all ages and attempts to make learning both fun and entertaining.
The Magic Marc Show airs Saturday mornings at 7:30 a.m. on WTOC. Dunston said that each week, his aim is "to offer kids a safe place to get together, have fun and learn."
Dunston is a native of Philadelphia but he has lived in Savannah for several years. He became interested in magic when he was 7, and his blend of humor, illusions and education has gained him national recognition. He has performed as an opening act for Bill Cosby and has done private magic parties for Denzel Washington, Spike Lee, Wesley Snipes and others.
In addition to the magic show, Magic Marc will film a water safety show at Splash. Park guests also can take part in singing, dancing and water trivia competitions hosted by Magic Marc from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Kids will have a chance to sign up and win some prizes in the competitions.
