Sheriff's investigators are looking into two restaurant burglaries that took place between late Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning.
Teapotter's Cafe and Morgan Creek Country Store and restaurant, both located on Ga. 67 near Interstate 16, were burglarized, according to Bulloch County Sheriff's reports.
Teapotter's Cafe, located south of Interstate 16 in a building previously occupied by Huddle House, was burglarized some time between 10:30 p.m. Tuesday and 5 a.m. Wednesday, said Bulloch County Sheriff's Deputy Bob Dinello in a written report.
The victim, one of the restaurant owners, told Dinello someone broke into the building and took an amount of money from the cash register.
Bulloch County Sheriff's Deputy Travis Tuenge responded Wednesday to Morgan Creek Country Store, located on Ga. 67 north of the interstate, to a reported burglary as well.
Tuenge said in a written report the burglary took place between 2:30 and 10 a.m.
He met with a key holder around 3 a.m. Wednesday when a burglar alarm sounded, and a check of the building revealed nothing, he said in reports.
However, the victim returned to the store later that  morning and found a rear door unlocked, and an air conditioner removed from the window.
Another window had been broken out, he said.
Nothing else was reported missing, and Bulloch County Sheriff's Investigator Jared Akins is investigating the incidents, reports stated.
