      Steak chefs from all around Bulloch County covered their charcoal grills with ribeye steaks Saturday afternoon outside Ogeechee Technical College. 

       Thirteen teams entered the Grill in the Grove competition, which also served as a fundraiser for the American Diabetes Association. Each team grilled up their juiciest and tastiest ribeye that was sent to be judged. Each then grilled up 10 more and those were sold to the public as part of the fundraiser.

      All 130 meal tickets were sold, according to Matt Gainous with OTC. Some people enjoyed live music and ate under the canopy of pecan trees on the OTC campus, while others took them home.

      Gainous said they were pleased with the turnout and looked forward to an even bigger fundraiser next year.
