Police Report - June 11

Statesboro Police Arrests
         Austin Kane Lee, 19, Rucker Lane — marijuana possession, possession and use of a drug related object.
        George Patrick White, 17, Clifton Road, Nevils — theft by shoplifting.
        Robert Edward Colvin Jr., 22, Great Meadows Court, Lithonia — theft by shoplifting.
        Kareem Pringle, 18, Lanier Drive — theft by shoplifting.
        Andrew Lanoff Grant, 23, Grant's Gulch Road, Rome — speeding, DUI.

Bulloch County Sheriff's Arrests
        Arrests made Tuesday and Wednesday will be published Thursday .

Georgia State Patrol Arrests
        Troopers issued eight traffic violation citations Tuesday.
        
Georgia Southern University Arrests
         Officers issued one traffic citation Tuesday.
 
Statesboro Police Incidents
        THE POINTE AT SOUTHERN — A woman told police someone intentionally set her brother's car on fire. This followed a previous report by the same complainants that the brother found a woman in his car without his permission, and a physical fight between three people occurred. During the melee he dropped his keys and they were apparently grabbed by one of the offenders, he said.

        EAST GRADY STREET — Two complaints said they were jumped from behind and robbed of jewelry and a wallet by unknown persons.

        SHELBY STREET — A woman and her husband left a club in two separate vehicles, and stopped to discuss getting a hotel. The woman accused the man of disrespecting her by talking to other women at the club, and they argued.

        LAUNDROMAID — An alarm sounded and witnesses saw a man near the business. Police found damaged machines with $90 in coins missing.

        BERMUDA RUN APARTMENTS — A woman reported two purses taken from a vehicle.
        KMART — Three females left with makeup and other items, without paying.
        VARSITY LODGE APARTMENTS — A man who called police about his girlfriend kicking in his door after he locked her out ended up behind bars when police saw a marijuana cigarette in open view on his coffee table. The man was charged with marijuana possession and possession/use of a drug related object.

        WAL-MART — On three separate occasions shoplifters were arrested for taking unusual items. One man drank a bottled water and ate some Gummi Savers - a total of $1.64 led t o his arrest. Another man removed a package of KY gel lubricant from its package and concealed it. A third man was caught stuffing bug spray, milk, cereal, turkey, mustard, syrup, juice, cookie dough, a toothbrush, and razor blades into his back pack.

        FLETCHER DRIVE — A man reported the theft of a weed eater.
        EAST MAIN STREET — A woman called police after finding dirty footprints leading from a window into her bedroom.

Bulloch County Sheriff's Incidents
         PULASKI ROAD — (Statesboro) A man told deputies another man fired a gun towards his house and peppered his family with shot. He went to the ma to ask that he not fire that way anymore, and the offender became " enraged," picking up the gun and ordering the complainant off his property. The offender denied shooting in that direction and said it was the complainant who was yelling and cursing, so he did pick up his gun and ask the man to leave.

        REEDY BRANCH ROAD — (Statesboro) A woman said someone stole two bottles of beer in a burglary, and listed a man as a suspect.

        GOLF CLUB ROAD — (Statesboro) A man said another man was bogged down in the fairway. Deputies would not allow the man to drive the truck away because he had no insurance, so he had it towed.

        BEAVER CREEK DRIVE — (Statesboro) A woman said her ex-boyfriend grabbed her shirt, tearing it, during an argument. He was intoxicated and she wanted him to leave, and deputies discovered he also had an active warrant for probation violation.

        BILLY MIKELL ROAD — (Statesboro) A man and woman argued about his name not being on an apartment lease and she did not want him to stay. Deputies told her he had a right to stay until she legally evicted him because he had been living there, and the woman became angry and demanded to speak to another deputy.

        WINDING WAY — (Statesboro) A man reported a burglary, listing a lap top computer, a desk top computer and a Play Station 2 taken.

        STEPPING STONE COURT — (Statesboro) A woman reported a router, computer, Sony Playstation 3 console with games, TB, pellet gun, a desk top computer, jewelry and Vera Bradley bag taken in a burglary.

        SEA PINES APARTMENTS — (Statesboro) A man and woman argued over ownership of a camera.

Georgia State Patrol Incidents
        Troopers issued nine warnings and investigated seven crashes with four reported injuries Tuesday.

Georgia Southern University Incidents
         Officers issued two traffic warnings, assisted five motorists and assisted one sick person Tuesday.

        Central 911 dispatchers issued the following calls Tuesday:
        Bulloch County Sheriff's Department —  14 calls.
        Statesboro Police Department — 19 calls.
        University Police Department — one call.
        Georgia State Patrol — four calls.
        Candler County Sheriff's Department — 11 calls.
        Evans County Sheriff's Department — two calls.
       
911 Fire Department Reports
        Central 911 dispatchers issued the following calls Tuesday:
        Statesboro Fire Department — two calls.
        Bulloch County Volunteer Firefighters — three calls.
        Metter Fire Department — three calls.

911 EMS Reports
        Central 911 dispatchers issued the following calls Tuesday:
        Bulloch County EMS —  three accident calls, a fire call, a rescue call and 19 medical calls.
        Candler County EMS — one accident call and three medical calls.
        Evans County EMS — no medical calls.
        Central 911 dispatchers also routed the following calls: a call to Kennesaw Police Department, three calls to Bulloch County First Responder, a call to the Bulloch County coroner, a call to Georgia Forestry, and a call to Life Star helicopter.
