Abigail Sneathen graduates Summa from Reinhardt University

             Reinhardt University in Waleska, Ga., announced that Abigail Taylor Sneathen graduated Summa Cum Laude during graduation exercises May 6. Abi is a 2012 graduate of Southeast Bulloch High School where she was STAR student her senior year and graduated with honors. She is the daughter of Dr. L. Dwight Sneathen Jr. and Susan Sneathen of Statesboro.
        Sneathen dedicated herself to the university, fellow students, and her degree studies, and was a Dean's List student all four years. She was selected as a Who's Who among students at Reinhardt for the second year, and Sneathen was recently nominated for Student of the Year, and to speak at the inauguration Reinhardt's new president.
        Sneathen majored in musical theatre and she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts upon graduation. She was responsible for creating a beneficial mentor program within her major alongside other student leaders, and was selected this past December as the female senior to sing "The Prayer" at the annual Christmas Concert in Reinhardt's Falany Performing Arts Center.
        Sneathen played many roles over her four years with Reinhardt's musical theatre program, some of which included Drowsy in "Drowsy Chaperone," Liz in "Marvin's Room," Cinderella in "Into the Woods," Sarah Brown in "Guys and Dolls," Kate in "Dancing at Lughnasa," and, most recently, Edwin Drood in "The Mystery of Edwin Drood." She was Reinhardt's first to graduate as a four-year member of the audition Chamber Choir.
        Sneathen accepted a one-year internship with the Aurora Theatre in Lawrenceville, Ga. The Aurora is part of the Atlanta Unified Theatre system, which produces quality professional theatre for the community and visitors to the area.
