Two Brooklet men have been arrested in connection with two metal theft incidents, the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday.It started on Jan. 25, when deputies were called to RC Machine and Tool onMill Creek Road to investigate a metal theft. Deputy Devon Deloach developed information linking Roy Ashton Wilson to the crime and issued arrest warrants for him, Sheriff Lynn Anderson said, and alerts were issued to the public through local news outlets and social media.On Monday, deputies responded to another section of Mill Creek Road for the theft of a trailer and several pieces of farm equipment.Wilson, 27, of Troy Street in Brooklet, turned himself in to deputies Wednesday and was interviewed concerning the Jan. 25 incident. He admitted to the theft from RC Machine and Tool and to the Monday trailer and equipment theft, Anderson said.Wilson was charged with felony theft by taking, misdemeanor theft by taking and a probation violation.Deputies and investigators began recovering stolen property from various locations throughout the county.The trailer was located at a home in the 4000 block of Old River Road South, where it had already been repainted.
