Sarah Marie Tucker and Dwight Nathan Singletary Jr.

    Mr. Kenny Tucker and Mrs. Kathy Tucker of Statesboro, Ga., are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Marie Tucker, to Dwight Nathan Singletary Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Nathan Singletary Sr. of Swainsboro, Ga.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Tucker of Midway, Ga., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Emerson “Red” Brown of Statesboro. Sarah is a 2005 honor graduate of Statesboro High School. She graduated from Georgia Southern University in 2009, with a Bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Development. She then continued her education at Ogeechee Technical College, where she received her diploma in Echocardiography in July of 2012. She is currently employed at East Georgia Regional Medical Center as an echocardiographer. She is also employed with the Statesboro First United Methodist Church Children’s Ministry.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Mary Frances Singletary of Swainsboro and the late Mr. Calvin E. Singletary of Tampa, Fla., as well as the late Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Lanier of Metter, Ga. Nathan is a 2003 graduate of Emanuel County Institute in Twin City, Ga., and attended Ogeechee Technical College, where he graduated from the Law Enforcement Academy in 2011. He is currently employed as a deputy sheriff with the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office.
    The couple has planned to wed on October 6, 2012, at 6:30 in the evening at the Garden of the Coastal Plain, (formerly known as the Georgia Southern Botanical Garden).
