Mr. and Mrs. Gary McCorkle of Register, Georgia, are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Jennifer Layne McCorkle, to Stephen Garrett Sowell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wadley S. “Steve” Sowell of Sylvania. The future bride is the granddaughter of the late Lemuel McCorkle and Mrs. Lutrell McCorkle of Register and the late Freddie Charles “Pete” McNeely and Mrs. Ada McNeely of Swainsboro. Jennifer is a 2000 honor graduate of Statesboro High School.
