    Mr. and Mrs. John Richard Price of Statesboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Holland Price of Austin, Texas, to Benjamin Johnson McAllister, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Howard McAllister III of Fairfax, Va.
    Elizabeth is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Roy Thigpen Sr. of Statesboro and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Clark Price of Cedartown. She graduated from Statesboro High School in 1999 and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Women’s Studies and Art History from Emory University in 2003. Elizabeth is currently the associate director of Advancement at St. Stephen’s Episcopal School in Austin, Texas. She also serves as executive director of the Kent Richard Hofmann Foundation, a private HIV/AIDS foundation.
    Benjamin is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Wilbur Farrell of Apex, N.C., and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Howard McAllister Jr. of Pittsboro, N.C. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Alexandria, Va., in 1996 and, in 2000, graduated with highest honors and distinction from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Physics. Benjamin is currently an account planner at GSD&M’s Idea City, an advertising agency in Austin, Texas.
    Elizabeth and Benjamin will marry on Saturday, November 1, 2008, in Austin, Texas.
