Federal spending under Obama has increased only a net aggregate of 1.4 percent over three budget cycles ... and will decrease 1.3 percent next year ... according to the Congressional Budget Office and The Wall Street Journal. George Bush's last budget, which Obama inherited, increased spending by a whopping 17.9 percent. ... Spending under Bush the previous years increased 7.5 percent annually. ... Thus, it is Obama and the Democrats who have been the real fiscal conservatives.
