Gordon signs with Valdosta State
Emanuel County Institute’s Lacollie Gordon, bottom row center, signed a national letter of intent to play football at Valdosta State University on Monday on the campus of ECI. Gordon, a wide receiver, is excited about being part of VSU’s pass-happy offense. “I went on a visit and they showed me much love down there,” he said. “Plus, I’m a wide receiver and they run a spread offense. I always wanted to be a part of a spread offense.” Gordon will join a Blazers team that won the 2007 Division II National Championship.
