Mr. Leo Mosley Sr.

Mr. Leo Mosley Sr., age 80, of Statesboro, Georgia, peacefully transitioned from this earthly life on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at Wellstar West Medical Center of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia.

Mr. Mosley was a native of Emanuel County, Georgia. He resided in Boston, Massachusetts, for many years before returning to Statesboro, Georgia, where he spent his later years.

He was a retired building superintendent with Stuckey Management in Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Mosley was a hard-working and dedicated man who took pride in construction work.

He also had a love for singing, which brought joy to his life and those around him. He was a quartet singer and sang with the Christian Bells, Mosley Brothers and Gospel Miracles.

Mr. Mosley was a faithful member of Holy Zion Holiness Church, where he served as chairman of the Deacon Board. His faith, service and commitment to his church and family were an important part of his life.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his beloved wife, Evangelist Rosemary Mosley of Portal, Georgia; his children, Cynthia Mosley Hill of Sumter, South Carolina; Leon Mosley of Chesapeake, Virginia; Ricky Mosley of Millen, Georgia; Leo (Toi) Mosley Jr. of Brockton, Massachusetts; and Apostle Shane (Carriebell) Mosley of Portal, Georgia; 17 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, along with a host of relatives, other family members, church family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026, from 6 p.m.–7 p.m. at Holy Zion Holiness Church, 19 Soloman Circle, Statesboro, GA 30458.

The celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. at Elm Street Church of God, 29 Elm Street, Statesboro, GA 30458, with Apostle Shane Mosley as eulogist. Interment will be held at Parrish Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 21 Palm Road, Twin City, GA 30471.
