Five people were injured Tuesday evening in a three-car crash on Old Register Road. Georgia State Patrol reports are incomplete, but in preliminary reports Trooper Carl Hutchinson stated one driver apparently crossed the center line on a curve and struck another vehicle. A third vehicle left the roadway and ended up in a field to avoid the crash. The driver of the vehicle in the field was treated for complaints; the drivers and passengers of the other vehicles were taken to the hospital for treatment of visible injuries, he reported. Charges are pending against Jonathan Geddis, 23, North Parker Street, Brooklet, whose vehicle crossed the center line, Hutchinson stated.
