The suspect in a Statesboro rape was recently arrested in North Carolina and is now in Bulloch County Jail, Statesboro police said. Clarence Hinson Lewis, 35, of Mikell Street, was arrested in Charlotte, N.C., on Oct. 14 on a warrant issued by the Statesboro Police Department charging him with rape, the police department said in a news release issued Monday. Lewis was then extradited Thursday from North Carolina to Bulloch County.
