Rocky Ford woman dies in wreck

A Rocky Ford woman was killed Sunday when she lost control of her vehicle on Georgia Highway 17. Amy Flanders, 40, was traveling south on Highway 17 around 12:20 p.m. Sunday when she lost control of her 2003 Honda CRV about a mile south of the Screven-Jenkins county line, according to a report from Georgia State Patrol Post 21 in Sylvania. Responding troopers said Flanders' car rotated clockwise for about 86 feet before traveling onto the west shoulder of the road, where it traveled another 134 feet and began overturning before striking a road sign.
