Hosted by the Watersville Station Farmers Market, the inaugural Tomato Festival was held Saturday, June 20, at Strickland Farms on Brooklet-Denmark Road in southeastern Bulloch County. The event included a Tomato Contest, where local gardeners showcased their homegrown tomatoes for judging in categories that included Biggest Tomato, Best Tasting Tomato, Ugliest (Most Unusual) Tomato and Overall Best Tomato.
