    The Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office wants a 15-year-old male to be tried as an adult in connection with a child molestation incident involving a 7-year-old boy.
    Gregory Robinson Nesmith Jr., 15, Kennedy Pond Road, faces charges as an adult of aggravated child molestation, aggravated sodomy and enticing a child for indecent purposes, according to Bulloch County Jail records.
    Bulloch County Sheriff’s Capt. Todd Hutchens said the families of both the alleged offender and the victim are friends. The incident, which took place during “the latter part of July,” occurred at the victim’s home on Black Creek Church Road.
    Nesmith is currently being held in Claxton Regional Youth Detention Center.
    Hutchens said he will face a hearing today or Friday with the Ogeechee Judicial Circuit’s District Attorney’s Office to determine whether Nesmith will be tried as an adult.
    One of the victim’s family members reported the incident, and both families are cooperating in the investigation, Hutchens said.
    The victim was not injured, but has and will continue treatment after the incident, he said.
    Bulloch County Sheriff’s Investigator Bill Black is handling the investigation, Hutchens said.
