USDA effort to extend school nutrition into summer
N1509P66032C

The Bulloch County Schools will serve free breakfast and lunch for children and teens at four locations, weekdays June 6-30, and lunch at a fifth location for next week only.

It’s part of the annual effort funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture to extend the national school nutrition program into the summer months. The meals are free for all children from 1 year old to 18 years old.

The school district’s nutrition department will provide breakfast, 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., and lunch, 10:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., Monday through Friday at the following four locations:  Julia P. Bryant Elementary School, Mill Creek Elementary School, Portal Middle High School, and Mattie Lively Elementary School.

The fifth site, Grace Community Church, will be serving just lunch, from 11 a.m. until noon only, June 6-10.
