Statesboro Police Arrests
    Arrests made Friday and Saturday will be published Monday.

    Arrests made over the weekend will be published Tuesday.

     Incidents occurring  Friday and Saturday will be published Monday.         

Bulloch Sheriff’s Incidents
     OLD RIVER ROAD SOUTH — (Brooklet) A man called deputies after he and his brother argued over drugs (cocaine), and his brother punched him several times in the face and body, causing visible injuries     to his eye, forehead and shoulder. The victim was arrested on outstanding warrants for probation violation and warrants were issued for the other brother, who was later arrested.
    ROBERT FRANKLIN ROAD — (Register) A man reported a burglary at Bessanger Tabernacle Baptist Church.  Two microwave ovens, a commode, a sink, vacuum cleaner, two extension cords and handicap bars for a bathroom were taken.
    OLD REGISTER WAY — (Statesboro) A man reported trespassers were having parties on his property and leaving debris behind.
    PAMELA WAY — (Statesboro) A man told deputies someone stole his burgundy bicycle.
    PINEMOUNT BOULEVARD — (Statesboro) A woman said when she returned home from a club one morning her husband met her with a stack of letters and pictures from her e-mail account, and started an argument. The man told deputies he suspected her of cheating and went to her e-mail account to find letters and pictures she had sent to different men. When he confronted her the argument began, he said.

Animal Shelter Reports
    The Statesboro-Bulloch County Animal Shelter reported the following activity for the week of  May 19-25:
    Animals received:
    • Rural county areas, Bulloch Humane Enforcement  —  19 dogs and 12 cats.
    • Statesboro city limits, Bulloch Humane Enforcement — seven dogs and five cats.
    • Abandoned at shelter  — two cats.
    • Surrendered by citizens — seven dogs and 11 cats.
    • Number in litters surrendered — fourteen puppies and 38 kittens.
    Animals out:
    • Shelter adoptions — two dogs and two cats.
    • Returned to owners — one dog.
    • Euthanized  — 38 dogs and 35 cats.
    Humane Enforcement calls:
    • Raccoon complaints — one.
    • Opossum complaints — one.
    • Court summons/citations — 12.
    • Warnings — 20.
    Money collected:
    • Adoption fees — $140.
    • Surrender fees — $110.
    • Donations — $115.
    • Miscellaneous — $3.
