Civil Air Patrol holds open house today
Event is noon to 3 p.m. at Statesboro-Bulloch Airport

      The Southeast Georgia Eagle Composite Squadron is a local unit of the Civil Air Patrol. The group is holding an open house from noon to 3 p.m. today at the Bulloch County Airport. The community is invited to attend and learn more about the Civil Air Patrol. 
      Members of the squadron will be present to greet visitors and explain the Patrol’s missions for America.
      The Civil Air Patrol program includes search and rescue training, instruction in aerospace and aviation, leadership skills, and scholarship opportunities.
      The open house is part of a membership drive designed to create a greater awareness of the Patrol’s presence in the community.
      The Civil Air Patrol has been around for 67 years and is the official auxiliary of the Air Force with 57,000 civilian volunteer members nationwide. For more information, visit www.gocivilairpatrol.com.
