Frank C. Rozier III has returned to the chairmanship of the Board of Directors of FMB Equibanc, Inc and Farmers and Merchants Bank. He succeeds R. Earl Dabbs who is retiring from the board after having served as board chairman for the past two years.
Commenting on Dabbs’ retirement, FMB President Ricky Nessmith said, “Earl Dabbs has served on our board of directors for the past eight years including his two year term as chairman. During that time our bank has outpaced even our most ambitious goals for growth in deposits as well as our lending portfolio. Our staff along with our customers are indebted to him for his participation and leadership on our board since 1999.”
Rozier joined the board of directors in 1991 and served as chairman from 1999 to 2005. To focus more time on business and family he stepped down from the chairmanship in 2005 but continued to serve on the board of directors.
“I’m excited to be returning to the chairmanship,” Rozier explained, “The entire board and staff are like a big family, and it’s a privilege to be involved in a corporate culture that is totally committed to excellence in customer and community service.”
Farmers & Merchants Bank was incorporated as a Georgia banking corporation on February 4, 1948, and is Bulloch County’s oldest locally owned community bank. The bank has three offices in Statesboro and one in Brooklet.
