Bulloch County receives Firehouse Subs grant

Bulloch County firefighters soon will have new specialized rescue equipment, thanks to a grant from the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation. The $18,870 grant will be used to purchase three rope rescue kits and two emergency rescue sets of five-piece lift bags, said Bulloch County Fire Chief Christopher Ivey. “In addition to multiple fire engines and tanker trucks, Bulloch County Fire Department operates two rescue apparatus equipped with specialty tools and equipment that respond to numerous types of rescue calls, such as vehicle accidents and trapped persons,” he said.
