Mrs. Jan B. Cross of Statesboro announces the engagement of her daughter, Brittany Layne Cross of Claxton, to Jason Charles Kennedy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kennedy of Claxton.
The bride-elect is also the daughter of the late Robert E. Cross Jr. She is the granddaughter of Trula Cross of Claxton and the late Robert E. Cross and Eyvonne Carruthers of Statesboro and the late Edgar Beasley.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Margie Blocker of Claxton and the late Harold Kicklighter and Edris Kennedy of Claxton and the late Olin Kennedy Jr.
The couple has planned to wed on August 16, 2008, at 4 p.m. at the Antioch Baptist Church in Daisy, Ga. The reception will immediately follow at the Veterans Community Center in Claxton.
No local invitations will be sent. All friends and relatives are invited to attend.
