Eagles adapted to what they were given

CONWAY, S.C. – The Georgia Southern Eagles may have rushed for 209 yards in Saturday’s 43-26 win at Coastal Carolina. But in the second half, when the Chanticleers keyed in on the run and the Eagles were without their starting fullback – true freshman Robert Brown, who left in the third quarter and did not return – it was the passing game that secured the win. Quarterback Jaybo Shaw passed for a career-high 160 yards and threw two touchdown passes, hitting the play action pass in key moments throughout the second half.
