Mr. James Ruben “Roodoo” White Jr., age 78, peacefully transitioned on Sunday, August 23, 2026, following a short illness, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center.

Mr. White was employed by Loxcreen Company of Brooklet, Georgia.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his children, Bonnette (Wayne) Parker of Statesboro, Georgia; Jeffrey White and Lillian White, both of Brooklet, Georgia; and Eric White of Statesboro, Georgia. He is also survived by his sister, Zella White of Killeen, Texas; his brother, John White of Statesboro, Georgia; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He will be lovingly remembered by all who knew and cherished him.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026, from 7 p.m.–8 p.m. at Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, 238 West Main Street, Statesboro, GA 30458.

The celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Miller Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 7829 Georgia Highway 24, Statesboro, GA 30461 with the Rev. Harry J. Tremble, pastor/eulogist. Interment will be held in the church cemetery.
