Doris Allen Bradley, age 89, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at her home in Statesboro.

She was born in 1937 to Willie and Nezzie Allen and grew up in the Middleground Community with her six brothers and sisters.

In 1957, she married Dudley Bradley. Two years later, he suffered a devastating injury and for the remainder of their 59-year marriage, she devoted herself to his support and care.

Her quiet and gentle nature, her profound loyalty and sense of service to her family, and her love of Jesus made her a model wife and devoted mother to their five children.

She indulged her husband’s interest in construction by patiently and, for the most part, good-naturedly moving her family and household from house to house across Bulloch County, each time taking her love of gardening with her and turning each empty lot into a garden.

She was a member of Crossroads Community Church for over 60 years.

Doris is survived by her children, Diane Jones (Johnny), Debbie Marsh (Tod), Donna Hendrix (Glenn) and Dudley Bradley Jr.; along with her grandchildren, Leslie Baxter (Rodney), Brandon Jones, Logan Bradley (Cherise Kamerman), Lucy Bradley (Johnathan Murphy), Hannah Bradley, Hudson Bradley, Ivy Anderson, Aria Bradley, Lindsey Pilling (Thomas), Miranda Marsh, Jade Rhodes (Corey Cole), Joel Marsh and Nollan Marsh; along with 27 great-grandchildren. She is survived as well by a daughter-in-law, Terri Bradley; her sisters-in law, Linda Sammons Harris, Sue Mock and June Braswell; together with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased, in addition to her husband and parents, by her son, Douglas Bradley; son-in-law, Chris Balding; and daughter-in-law, Donna Conner Bradley; along with her siblings, Robbie Dean Allen, Barney Allen, Don Allen, Willie Lee Fincher, Betty Sue Lowery and Linda Gail Allen.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22, at 10 a.m. at Crossroads Community Church, with the funeral service at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Zac Case officiating. Burial will follow at Bulloch Memorial Gardens.

Serving as pallbearers will be Keith Bradley, Rick Mock, Clay Mock, Carl Sammons, Noah Alojado and Joey Stinson.
