A Register woman was killed in a single vehicle accident Monday morning, and a man was killed Tuesday in a crash with an 18-wheeler. These fatal accidents followed the death of a pedestrian who walked into traffic Saturday morning, adding up to three people killed within the past four days.
Georgia State Patrol reports show a call around 8 a.m. Monday, with troopers and emergency responders arriving at a Kennedy Bridge Road location, where Rebecca Clark, 29, Dekle Road, apparently lost control of her vehicle.
Traveling southbound, Clark reportedly lost control, left the roadway, struck a culvert and overturned several times. She was ejected from her vehicle, reports stated.
Bulloch County EMS took Clark to the emergency room at East Georgia Regional Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead, said Bulloch County Coroner Jake Futch.
Tuesday morning around 10:09 a.m., GSP troopers and emergency responders were called to a crash on U.S. 80 East near Arcola Road.
GSP reports were incomplete Tuesday evening, but Futch said the driver of a van that was involved was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver,   Devin Cassidy, was 23 years old, but neither Futch nor GSP dispatchers had further information except that the other vehicle involved was a Wall Timber chip truck, an 18-wheeler.
Additional details are expected to be released Wednesday.
