RISE gives eighth-graders hands-on experiences
Bulloch County, area schools participate in event at Georgia Southern

More than 700 students from Bulloch, Candler, Evans, Effingham and north Bryan counties attended the RISE 8th Grade Experience West event held Wednesday, Sept. 30 at the Nessmith-Lane Center on the Georgia Southern University campus.

The Experience gave students a chance to participate in hands-on activities, speak with industry professionals and explore interactive exhibits that showcase careers in manufacturing, logistics, assembly and other high-demand industries.

Thirty-two companies from around the region participated in the event.
