Ricky Ricardo Mobley, 22, Floyd Street, is charged in the shooting of Zakiyah Prince, 22, Austell, Georgia, just after midnight Wednesday, July 30, at Southern Downs apartments on Georgia Avenue, said Statesboro Public Safety Director Wendell Turner.
Prince was treated and released after being taken to East Georgia Regional Medical Center that morning, he said.
Mobley was located and arrested later on the same day by Statesboro police Det. Travis Kreun and Det. Kevin Weatherly, charged with seven counts of aggravated assault, one count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, one count of criminal damage to property and two counts of reckless conduct.
Neither police incident reports nor a statement released by Turner included explanation of the seven counts of aggravated assault of other charges. Reports did not list any other possible victims.
