Cynthia Inez Underwood and Robert Dickerson Mooney

    Gary "Pete" and Vickie Underwood of Union Point, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Cynthia Inez Underwood, to Robert Dickerson Mooney, son of Dr. Robert and Cindy Mooney of Statesboro, Ga.
    The future bride is the granddaughter of the late Frank and Betty Jo Underwood of Union Point and Gail and Charles Turner of Washington, Ga., and the late Jerry Harper of Union Point. Cindy is a graduate of Morgan County High School and attended The Art Institute of Atlanta. She is employed as a pet groomer at Gateway Animal Hospital in Statesboro.
    The future groom is the grandson of Betty Bunch of Statesboro, the late Cleveland Collins of Soddy Daisy, Tenn., and the late Dr. John and Dot Mooney of Statesboro. He is a graduate of Statesboro High School and has a degree in construction management from Ogeechee Technical College in Statesboro. He is self-employed and specializes in residential and commercial construction and renovation.
    The wedding will be on September 21, 2013, in Union Point, Ga., at the home of the bride’s parents.
    Some invitations will be sent, but all friends and relatives are invited to attend.
