Mr. and Mrs. Leslie R. Kicklighter of Statesboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Shanna Leigh Kicklighter, to Chad Allen Sexton of Blackshear, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Sexton of Douglasville.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Sue H. Jordan and the late Rev. Clyde Lee Jordan of Reidsville and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ryloh Kicklighter of Collins. Ms. Kicklighter is a 1997 graduate of Statesboro High School, graduated from Georgia Southern University in 2001 with a BS in Interior Design and is currently employed with Lott's Furniture on Amelia Island, Fla., as an interior designer.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Maxine F. Taylor and the late Mr. Calvin W. Taylor Sr. of Austell and Mrs. Nellie H. Allen and the late Mr. William C. Sexton and the late Mr. Sirce O. Allen of Austell. Mr. Sexton is a 1993 honor graduate of Pebblebrook High School, graduated from the University of Georgia in 1997 with a BS in Forest Resources and is currently employed with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources as a fisheries technician.
The couple plans to wed on December 13, 2008, at 5:30 p.m. at Pittman Park United Methodist Church in Statesboro.
