    The Betty Foy Sanders Department of Art (BFSDoArt) is proud to present Sergei Tsvetkov: Recent Work. The exhibition will run until Feb. 26 in the University Gallery at the Center for Art & Theatre, Georgia Southern University.
    Sergei Tsvetkov: Recent Work features a wide range of intaglio prints, as well as works on paper. Heavily influenced by history and geometry, Tsvetkov is well known for his exquisite intaglio prints that a rich iconography developed over the past ten years.
    Sergei Tsvetkov is an internationally renowned printmaker whose work can be found in the collections of institutions such as the Victoria and Albert Museum, London; Alberta Foundation for the Arts, Canada; Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C.; Jane Voorhees Zimmerli Art Museum, Rutgers University; Royal Museum of Art, Belgium; Morris Museum, New Jersey, Tamarind Institute, New Mexico, and many others. In addition, Tsvetkov has been selected for numerous prizes and grants such as the Gold Prize at the Edmonton Print International, Canada; Purchase Award at the International Exhibition of Lithography, Sweden; Distinguished Artist at the International Lithography Symposium, Tamarind Institute, New Mexico, and a Fulbright Scholarship for research in Amman, Jordan.
    The Betty Foy Sanders Department of Art will host a gallery talk on Thursday, Feb. 9 at 5 p.m. Visitors will have the rare opportunity to hear Tsvetkov discuss the ideas and imagery that have shaped his work. An artist reception at the Center for Art & Theatre will commence immediately following the gallery talk. The event is free and the public is welcome.
    Gallery Programming is supported by Student Activity Fees; all events are free and open to the public. In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, Georgia Southern University will honor reasonable requests for accommodations. The Center for Art & Theatre is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. and by appointment.
