Watts signs with GMC
IMG 3163
Statesboro High’s Weldon Watts, left, signed a national letter of intent to play football at the Georgia Military College on Wednesday on the campus of SHS. Watts, a linebacker, chose GMC to be close to home. “I made that decision because I wanted to stay home with my mom,” he said. “I love her and I care about her, and I didn't want to go outside of Georgia. It would have been hard for me, so I’m happy.” GMC is a two-year school, but Watts said he’s not ready to decide where he’ll play after his time with the Bulldogs. - photo by CHAD BISHOP/staff
